This strip may have or may not have been inspired by true events… In February 2020, there was a mad scramble to buy up all the face masks in China and even neighboring countries like Japan, and to order as many as possible from places like the US. Now that things have calmed down a bit, some people have gotten more “frugal” with their usage of disposable face masks.
